We will be holding sits on Zoom each Sunday from 3:30-5:00. We'll get settled in; sit for one period; talk together, usually about a koan, for one period; sit for a few more minutes; and close with our vows.

Because of widespread recommendations on preventing "Zoom bombing" of events, we're now using a password for our Zoom sessions. The URL and password go out with event reminders sent to everyone on our email list. Desert Rain Zen holds regular weekly sits on Sunday afternoons from 3:30-5:00 at the Little Chapel of All Nations on the University of Arizona Campus. Our sits are free and open to the public. We welcome old and new meditators.
Please try to arrive by around 3:15 to give yourself time to get settled in. Please try to arrive a little before then if you’d like orientation to sitting or to our group.
In general we alternate 25 minutes of sitting meditation and 5 minutes of walking meditation. Chairs are available for those who aren't comfortable sitting on cushions.
On second, fourth, and fifth Sundays we have two sitting periods (interspersed with a walking meditation) followed by tea and some form of dharma talk and discussion. Optional Work in the Room is usually available second and fourth Sundays (during the two sitting periods).
The first Sunday of each month we hold a Koan Seminar.
Third Sunday is our monthly Sutra Service.
